Contract: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience)
What you’ll be doing
* Lead and support risk assessments, incident investigations, and site inspections.
* Manage non-site safety processes like DSE assessments and safe office environments.
* Deliver awareness campaigns and toolbox talks to promote a proactive safety culture.
* Deliver in-house training and mentoring to your colleagues to develop competencies.
* Support the rollout of our ISO 14001-compliant environmental management system.
* Advise on project-based aspect and impact assessments.
* Act as a key contact for our Integrated Management System (IMS), providing training and guidance.
* Maintain IMS documentation and our digital SHE platform for managing onsite activities.
* Monitor and report on SHE performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
* Coordinate internal audits and support external certification processes; lead smaller audits and manage closure of non-conformities.
* Contribute to SHE improvement initiatives and promote best practices; liaise with teams to embed compliance into daily operations and report on progress.
What We’re Looking For
* NEBOSH General Certificate level qualification or equivalent level 3 award
* A member of a recognised professional institution, e.g. IOSH, IIRSM etc. at Tech IOSH level, working toward Cert IOSH
* Experience in a H&S, compliance, or management systems role
* Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices
* Familiarity with ISO 14001 and 45001 standards
* Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Experience supporting audits and/or compliance reviews
* Clear communication skills, with confidence to engage colleagues at all levels
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting tools
* Formal environmental training (e.g. IEMA Foundation) or willingness to undertake further training
* Willingness to complete formal auditing qualification
