About the Company
My Client is a specialist acoustic consultancy working across the UK and internationally, delivering high-quality building and environmental acoustics services on major commercial, residential, education, and government projects. They consistently punch above its weight—handling complex, high-profile, and technically demanding acoustic design projects.
The Role
We are seeking a Junior or Graduate Acoustician to join our Colchester team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and ambitious graduate looking to develop their career within a close-knit consultancy that offers significant hands‑on experience and rapid progression.

* Strong technical and scientific understanding of acoustics (not just audio engineering or sound production)
* Full UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel nationwide and occasionally work irregular hours for time‑dependent measurements
* Based near Colchester or willing to relocate
* Up to 1 year’s experience in an acoustic consultancy
* Experience conducting on‑site measurements or writing technical reports
* Familiarity with relevant standards and guidance (e.g. BS 8233, BB93, ProPG, etc.)
Personal Attributes
* Excellent work ethic and self‑motivation
* Keen to learn and be mentored by senior consultants
* Flexible, practical, and hands‑on approach to work
* Clear communicator with strong attention to detail
What’s on Offer
* Full training and career development from experienced senior consultants
* Exposure to major, high‑profile UK and international projects
* Clear progression path — opportunity to become self‑sufficient within 3–5 years
* Supportive, close‑knit working environment
