An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Production Support Engineer to join our thriving UK medical manufacturing company to work within our expanding Engineering Department.
We are looking to recruit a candidate to lead a team of engineers working on a rotating shift pattern to be the primary support for the site. The role will require fault finding, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), installations and upgrades to circuitry in addition to mechanically supporting breakdowns as and when required as this is a hands-on role. The role also includes leading a team of two engineers on the same shift pattern as the lead.
All work must be completed effectively, with machine downtime being kept to a minimum, and within target expectations whilst adhering to the latest Health and Safety Regulations and best practices.
Essential Experience/Qualifications:
* Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent level qualification
* Experience of automated production environment
* Machine setting
* Previous Team leading experience
* Strong engineering background Electrically and Mechanically
* Strong Health and safety knowledge
* Strong relationship building qualities
* Understanding of working in a controlled environment
* Ability to manage downtime and priorities
* Continuous Improvement mindset
* Ability to modify machine wiring
* Ability to read engineering drawings electrically and mechanically
Desirable Experience/Qualifications:
* Injection Molding
* Knowledge and understanding of quick changeover best practices
* 18th Edition
* PLC knowledge

Hours of Work:
* Rotating 24hour shift pattern
* 2 Days Working, 2 Days off, 2 Nights Working, 2 Days off
* 7:00am - 19:30pm and 19:00pm - 7:30am
