Base pay range
£55 000–£75 000 per annum plus benefits.
Responsibilities
Our client is an established leader in commercial software for the financial markets. They are looking for a creative, detail‑oriented Web Software Developer to join our Web Development team.
* Write efficient, well‑maintained code using best practices for software development.
* Create websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C# with ASP.NET Core MVC, ASP.NET, and ASP.NET Core.
* Collaborate with programmers and web designers to build sites that match visual designs.
* Communicate with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements and specifications within agreed timelines.
* Research and evaluate software tools and frameworks.
* Document software usage and maintain development records.
* Improve and enhance existing websites.
Qualifications
Minimum 5–7 years of experience developing software with C# and .NET Core.
Education: Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish close working relationships with stakeholders.
* Proactive, detail‑oriented, and take ownership of projects.
* Functional coding experience in C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, Bootstrap.
* Knowledge of REST APIs, MVC pattern, and security principles (OWASP).
* Experience with UI frameworks such as Vue.js, Angular, React, or Knockout is beneficial.
* Comfortable with IIS and web application deployment.
* Basic SEO knowledge and understanding of mobile and desktop browsers.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Location & Work Arrangement
The client operates offices in the City of London and in Essex (Basildon). The position will be based 2 days at the Essex office and 3 days remote.
