Location: York
Salary: £25,252.50 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Reports to: Nursery Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our team in York. You will lead a team of Early Years Practitioners to provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. 
Key Responsibilities
 * Lead, support and develop a team of Early Years Practitioners, promoting teamwork, motivation and professional growth.
 * Oversee the daily running of your room, ensuring high standards of care, safety and education.
 * Act as Key Person for a group of children, ensuring their individual needs are met and progress is effectively tracked.
 * Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and external professionals.
 * Contribute to planning, observations and assessments to ensure all children are supported in reaching their full potential.
 * Ensure all York Childcare policies and procedures are implemented and upheld at all times.

Requirements
 * Proven experience in a nursery setting, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role
 * Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
 * Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
 * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
