They are annualised posts, meaning you will not be required to work during our annual shutdown, which normally lasts up to 7 weeks through the summer months.Based in Dumfries Ice Bowl, you will receive training in the Leisure Management till system and will be required to undertake reception and clerical duties. Dealing with customers on a day to day basis you will have excellent communication and telephone skills and be able to multi–task under pressure. Being the first point of contact for customers you will be enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable on the Ice Bowl programme and will assist in selling and promoting key activities and services.Educated to Standard Grade or equivalent in English and Mathematics, you will ideally have good computer skills and knowledge of software applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.Moderate receptionist/clerical experience is essential. You will have experience of cash handling and dealing with members of the public. Experience of working within the leisure industry and knowledge of memberships, and sales would be an advantage.This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
