Job Summary
WGM Engineering Ltd (part of RSK Group) is looking for a Mechanical Designer to join our Technical & Design team on a permanent contract based in Glasgow with hybrid working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the design team and produce designs and associated deliverables for a range of engineering projects.
* Ensure that all design work complies with WGM QA policies, procedures, and specifications.
* Attend sites to assist with surveys and data gathering when required.
* Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external key contacts to maximise efficiencies and identify further opportunities.
* Integrate and perform as a key member of a highly efficient, multi‑disciplinary design team.
Person Specification
* Subject-specific technical knowledge and expertise.
* Commercial awareness of your specialist area of engineering.
* An eye for detail and a methodical work process.
* IT and CAD knowledge.
* Analytical and numeracy skills.
* Creative problem‑solving ability.
* Effective communication to liaise with team members, clients, contractors and others involved in the design process.

* Up to £52,000 per annum / full time equivalent.
