Main duties of the job
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a good understanding across all modalities with knowledge and experience of research management, operations and ideally finance/funding. The role will involve direct patient contact, facilitating clinical assessment, accurate collection and documentation of research data, and clear communication with the clinical teams.
The successful candidate will provide support
to both clinical and research pathways. This integrated role offers an excellent opportunity to broaden your current skill base whilst contributing to research and innovation. Applicants need to be adaptable with excellent organizational and communication skills, able to multi task and problem solve with minimum supervision.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for the initial assessment of feasibility, expression of interest submission, clinical coordination, operational set up and conduct of radiotherapy clinical trials.
This will include working with the rest of the radiotherapy department to look at horizon scanning, trial feasibility, proposing realistic recruitment targets and facilitating the opening of studies to time and target. It also includes working closely with the research nurses and governance team in operationally setting up radiotherapy clinical trials.Working with the rotational research radiographer, the post holder will act as an
interface between all parties to ensure that the radiotherapy research team provide an effective and efficient service that is embedded into both the radiotherapy and research departments.
