You can make a difference, be rewarded, and join our impact-driven community. Targeted Provision is looking for SEND Tutors and Teachers to work with schools and local authorities in your area. We offer flexible, trauma-informed tutoring opportunities to support disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners with SEND and SEMH needs.
Roles involve in-person, online/remote, and hybrid teaching, with assignments near your location or within 45 minutes of the postcode you provide. Interviews are being arranged on a rolling basis as applications come in.
Responsibilities
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD and other additional educational needs.
* Plan, deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring in person, online/remote, or hybrid formats.
* Support pupils referred by local authorities and schools, across KS1–KS5 as appropriate.
* Plan and report on lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
* Contribute to safeguarding by creating a safe learning environment.
* Collaborate with the SEND Support Team to maintain support for you and the child.
Qualifications
* Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic, trauma-informed approach.
* Subjects: Familiarity with teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
* Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
* Compliance: Enhanced DBS (facilitated if needed) and 2+ professional references.
* Location: Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online roles.
* Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and maintaining a safe learning environment.
* Employment status: Self-employed basis, as opportunities arise.
