Security Architect x 3 – Design & Delivery
Contract | £650 per day | Outside IR35 | SC Cleared (DV advantageous)
Start: January | On-site minimum 3 days per week
Our client is supporting a major modernisation programme and is expanding its specialist capability to meet growing delivery demand. We are seeking a Security Architect with strong hands-on delivery experience to join a high-integrity, secure environment team.
This role requires a practitioner who excels in applied security architecture, secure-by-design principles, and engineering-led security integration. You will work directly with Digital Engineering stakeholders to produce security architecture artefacts, threat modelling, design assurance, and reusable patterns that strengthen the programme’s security posture.
Interviews available immediately, including evenings this week and early next week.

You will lead and deliver core security architecture outputs including:
Digital Engineering Security Artefacts
• Digital Engineering Engagement Report
• Security Requirements Specification
• Security Principles Framework
• Infrastructure Mapping Document
• Threat Modelling Report
• Security Architecture Design Pack
• Air Sector Architecture Alignment Report
Reusable & Transferable Capability
• Reusable Security Pattern Library
• Knowledge Transfer Pack (training materials, handover content, recorded walkthroughs)
Role Requirements
Mandatory
• Extensive Security Architecture / Security Consulting experience
• Strong track record designing and reviewing secure infrastructure
• Proven experience applying secure-by-design principles
• Experience with Digital Engineering, secure architectural controls, and pattern-based design
• Strong understanding of security risk management and GRC-aligned assurance
• Defence experience strongly preferred
• SC clearance essential; DV preferred (or SC with ability to progress)
Engagement Model
• Minimum 3 days per week on site
• Outside IR35 | £650/day
• Start January, with phased onboarding continuing into February
• Location: Preston
