Overview of the division
The Water Utilities Division is Mott MacDonald’s centre of excellence for responding to the UK and Ireland’s water and wastewater challenges. Our multi-disciplinary teams provide services across the full project lifecycle, from advisory services and feasibility studies to outline and detailed design, delivering best-in-class solutions.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle, from design definition through implementation.
* Ensure business management system compliance, technical quality assurance, programme and cost control, and strong client interface.
* Supervise junior staff and provide technical and commercial guidance to support their development.
* Contribute to commercial success through forecasting, risk management, and the production of bids and proposals.
* Lead the design of innovative and sustainable solutions to address leakage, clean water provision, and sewage disposal for water utility assets.
* Manage fast-paced design environments, including handling changes and impacts to the wider programme.
Candidate specification
* Essential: Degree in Engineering/Project Management or related field.
* Qualifications (e.g. PFQ or PMQ) with a recognised project management institution (e.g. APM).
* Experience assisting project managers with project commercials and cost management, budgeting/resource profiling, change control, invoicing, progress reports, and internal BMS requirements.
* Demonstrable ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and strong written and oral communication skills.
* Desirable: Ability to travel to other offices/sites; demonstrable experience in effective client communications.
