Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Hatfield, Doncaster. As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you'll play a vital role in their life. Our service supports individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health needs, and communication difficulties. We provide physical and emotional support to help people we support achieve their goals and aspirations.
Responsibilities
* Support with daily activities and provide emotional support as part of a person-centred approach.
* Provide assistance with personal care, medication, finances, activities, and other needs to help individuals achieve their goals.
* Build trusting relationships through open communication and supportive interactions.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Must hold a valid driving licence and be willing to drive mobility vehicles.
* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude toward individuals with learning disabilities.
