About Our Client: Our client is a leading fire and security solutions provider based in Sheffield, delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and monitoring services to commercial, industrial, and residential clients across the UK. Role Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to oversee our day-to-day field operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing engineering teams, ensuring high standards of service delivery, maintaining health and safety compliance, and driving operational efficiency across all fire and security projects. Key Responsibilities: * Manage and coordinate the daily operations of installation, servicing, and maintenance teams. * Oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, and engineer productivity to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. * Act as the main point of contact between field teams, the office, and clients, ensuring strong communication and customer satisfaction. * Monitor KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. * Support with recruitment, training, and development of engineering staff. * Collaborate with the sales and design teams to ensure seamless project handovers and execution. * Manage inventory levels and supplier relationships to avoid project delays. * Contribute to continuous improvement strategies and company growth initiatives. Skills & Experience Required: * Proven experience in an operational management role within the fire and security or M&E industry. * Strong understanding of fire alarms, intruder systems, CCTV, and access control systems. * Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills. * Strong technical background with the ability to support engineers and troubleshoot issues. * Full UK driving licence. * Relevant qualifications (e.g., FIA, NSI, or BAFE certifications) are advantageous.
