Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces through high-quality painting and decorating. This role involves working on various projects, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Responsibilities
✅ Level 3 Qualification or City & Guilds Equivalent in Painting & Decorating.
✅ Valid Asbestos Awareness Certificate.
✅ Full UK Driving Licence.
✅ Own van, tools, and work clothing.
✅ Availability for 37 hours per week
✅ Previous experience working in social housing is essential.
* Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
* Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces with precision.
* Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on colour schemes and materials.
* Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and used safely.
* Drive to various job sites as required, ensuring timely arrival and completion of tasks.
* Maintain a tidy workspace throughout the duration of each project.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople as needed to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in painting and decorating is essential.
* Strong communication skills in English to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
* A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between job sites.
* Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
