We are seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Liverpool primary school. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support that promotes each child's development, wellbeing, and inclusion. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with SEN Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging, play-based learning activities Support children's social, emotional, and communication development Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies Monitor and record progress, contributing to assessments and reviews Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals Support with personal care and mobility needs where required Person Specification: Experience working with children in early years, ideally with SEN Understanding of EYFS and child development Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Early Years, SEN training) Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
