Education and qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Registered Nurse on NMC Register
2. Educated at Masters level
3. Post registration qualification Haemoglobinopathy Module/course or equivalent experience
4. Teaching qualification or equivalent
5. Independent Non-Medical prescriber
6. Physical Assessment qualification
Desirable criteria
7. Non-Medical Blood authorisation/ prescribing qualification
Knowledge and Expereince
Essential criteria
8. Knowledge of current clinical developments within haemoglobinopathies
9. Delivery of red cell exchange both manual and automated.
10. Experience in related specialty/management of complex chronic conditions
11. Knowledge of governance and complaints processes
12. Experience of implementing and evaluating change
13. Experience as a line manager and supporting staff
14. Experience and knowledge of financial/budget management
15. Knowledge and experience in pain management
16. Demonstrate knowledge and experience in adult safeguarding policies and procedures
