Engineering Manager
Bridgend | Permanent | Up to £70,000 per annum DOE
About the Role
Bridgestone Group are pleased to be working with a leading manufacturer based in South Wales, who are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and manage the maintenance function within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency while driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement maintenance strategies aligned with production goals
* Ensure safe operations and product quality at competitive costs
* Drive proactive maintenance policies to maximize plant uptime
* Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
* Manage asset lifecycle to optimize cost of ownership
* Oversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs
* Coordinate major outages and monitor maintenance KPIs
* Lead and develop the maintenance team through training and performance reviews
Shift Pattern; Day Shift, Monday to Friday
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Hands-on problem-solving approach
* Ability to coach and mentor teams
* Knowledge of proactive maintenance strategies and KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, uptime)
