Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next full-time, permanent opportunity? Do you have a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs and want to be part of a school where your impact truly matters?
We are working in partnership with a forward-thinking SEN secondary school that is expanding over the next 12 months – creating exciting opportunities for dedicated staff to grow, develop, and progress their careers.
The Role:
1. Full-time position within a specialist SEN secondary school
2. Supporting students with a range of needs, including:
3. ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) – including non-verbal students
4. SLD / MLD (Severe & Moderate Learning Difficulties)
5. PMLD (Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties)
6. Working closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support and meaningful learning experiences
7. Encouraging independence, communication, and social development

✅ What We’re Looking For:
11. Current or previous experience as an SEN TA (essential)
12. Experience supporting one or more of the following:
13. ASC (including non-verbal communication)
14. SLD / MLD
15. PMLD
16. A genuine passion for SEN and a desire to make a long-term difference
17. A proactive, patient, and resilient approach
Desirable (but not essential):
18. Experience with personal care
19. Moving and handling training
20. Knowledge of alternative communication methods (e.g. PECS, Makaton, AAC)
