Job Summary
We are seeking a Cardiology Clinical Product Support Specialist (CPSS) for a fixed-term contract to support our Cardiology product portfolio across the UK. This role is central to driving business success by supporting pre‑sales, installations, training, and post‑sales activities for our Cardiology solutions.
The CPSS acts as a clinical expert and trusted advisor, working closely with customers, Sales, Service, R&D, and Global Quality teams. You will provide trials support, training, technical insights, feedback for product development, and ensure exceptional customer experience at every stage.
This position requires autonomy, creativity, initiative, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Support & Clinical Expertise
* Deliver pre‑sale demonstrations, trials, installation support, and post‑sale clinical education for Cardiology solutions.
* Provide clinical application training to customers, new hires, Sales Representatives, and distributors (Basic User through Train-the-Trainer levels).
* Organise and run monthly off‑site customer training courses; update materials as products evolve.
* Communicate customer feedback, clinical issues, and educational needs to internal teams.
Sales & Business Support
* Support the Sales Team with clinical expertise during tenders, bids, planning, and product positioning.
* Cascade Cardiology product knowledge—including technical/networking considerations—to Sales and Service colleagues.
* Represent Spacelabs at trade shows and professional meetings, including booth setup and breakdown.
Cross-functional Collaboration
* Work closely with Sales, Service, Technical Support, and Quality teams.
* Contribute to product development through clinical feedback and Agile-based product sign‑off processes.
* Participate in Global QMS clinical reviews and risk assessments.
Operational Excellence
* Manage time and resources efficiently, maintaining high professionalism while onsite with customers.
* Provide timely and accurate activity, expense, and compliance reports.
* Maintain company-issued assets (laptop, vehicle, tools) in excellent condition.
* Comply with hospital credentialing requirements when applicable.
Requirements
Essential
* Cardiac Department Practitioner with proven diagnostic Cardiology experience (SCST membership considered).
* Extensive clinical experience in diagnostic Cardiology.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all organisational levels.
* Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and listening skills.
* Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
* Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, internet use).
* Ability to work long days as needed for installations/training.
* Successful completion of Spacelabs training and full competency in all Cardiology products.
Desirable
* BA/BS Degree in a technical, science, or business discipline.
* Previous experience with Spacelabs Cardiology equipment.
* Experience with Quality Systems and identifying non‑compliance issues.
* Experience using the Agile product development system.
* Previous commercial experience in the medical device industry.
