What will you need?
FAFS Fire & Security recognise that our exemplary service can only be maintained by compliance to and the surpassing of British and European Standards which can only be effected through the continuous professional development of all team members, therefore, in addition to having all the usual attributes of a great FAFS Fire & Security employee, such as; a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, well presented and professional at all times, ability to work alone and as part of a team, for this specific opportunity we are looking for candidates who also offer:
1. Minimum of 3 years experience in a like for like or similar role.
2. Must have a good understanding of third-party accreditation requirements in this field
3. Comprehensive knowledge of passive fire door systems and products such as Flamebreak, Premdor and Vicaima.
4. Knowledge of the Fire Safety Act
5. Approved document B, BS -22 and BS .
What will your day-to-day look like?
6. Attending client sites and inspect fire doors line with the ‘UKAS BlueSky Certification scheme', Government guidance and the manufacture technical installation or O&M guidance.
7. Attending sites prior to the carpentry team and survey the site for access, health and safety, material storage, specifications of work accuracy against third party information.
8. Quantity survey for materials required to complete the works.
9. Meet with clients on site to discuss site requirements and individual client needs.
10. To handover accepted inspection reports to the passive fire projects manager.
