HGV Driver Trainer - Booker DistributionLocation: St. Helens, Merseyside, WA11 9WDShift Hours: Full Time hrs per week (Any 5 of 7)Salary: CompetitiveDue to the integration of a new BRP Haydock Outbase into our existing DC transport operation, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional Trainer (Part Time/Driving Duties) to join our existing training team. Our training team are key to our operation, helping us to train and develop our colleagues to ensure they always comply with our Health, Safe and Legal requirements. Flexibility is key within the role to ensure training coverage over all operational hours. Main responsibilities of the role are: · To support the Transport Training Manager & Section Managers in developing the team of driver colleagues· To support in the continuous improvement of a Health, Safe, Legal and efficient transport operation in line with the site strategy ensuring compliance with Company policies, procedures and Health and Safety legislation and Transport legal compliance.· To provide training for driver colleagues to include, but not exhaustive:o In-cab trainingo Company procedures (SOP’s)o Current legislation (Tachograph Legislation)o Driver CPC o Driving assessmentso Driver Inductions o Agency drivers’ assessments and site inductionso Drug / Alcohol Testing & Licence checks · Involvement with driver recruitment· Support the management team in developing driver efficiencies· Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of training Files Administration · Support the department in completions of risk assessments and safe systems of work · Completion of all shunter training· To support the operation with store deliveries when required· To implement and share “best practice” in processes, systems and documentation across the Booker network· Assist in the preparation of regular briefings and communications to the teamSupply chain experience will be considered in lieu of qualificationsDrug & Alcohol TrainedRTITB Driver assessorI.O.S.H.
