The successful applicants will assist in the overall delivery of care to patients within the Primary Care department of Marydale Secure Children’s Services. Responsibilities include assessing care needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating care programmes. The post holder must comply with the NMC Code of Conduct, relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
The working hours are from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with flexible working required to meet service needs. An on-call rota for new admissions is in place on Saturdays and Sundays (9am - 5pm). Occasional cover for Barton Moss SCH may also be required as part of the joint healthcare contract.
The role involves providing primary healthcare to young people in the Secure Children's Estate, including screening, assessments, and liaising with visiting GPs and residential teams who look after the young people 24/7. The post requires close collaboration with all members of the MDT in healthcare to develop interventions during the young people's stay.
Applicants must have been in the UK for at least 12 months prior to applying and be able to provide a 6-year address history for clearance purposes.
