Key Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons, ensuring all students are included and supported in their learning.
Assist in managing classroom behavior and providing individualized support to students with a variety of learning needs.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to children, helping them with tasks such as reading, writing, and numeracy.
Promote an environment of respect and encouragement, fostering students' confidence and independence.
Assist in preparing classroom materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher to ensure that all pupils are achieving to the best of their ability.
Help students with personal care or emotional support, if required.
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude with a strong desire to support the learning and development of children.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff.
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures.
A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory.
A DBS check will be required (Aspire People will support this process).
