Role: Forward Deployed AI Engineer, who can help us discover, gain clarity and build AI solutions for healthcare clients. We want to answer the question of what patient care looks like in the AI age.
Role Overview
The Forward Deployed AI Engineer role at Sanctuary Health is a pivotal, both forward-deployed work and internal developer role responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of technical solutions, from deep-dive customer discovery and project scoping to delivery and eventual internal productisation for future customers. This role will be crucial in ensuring long-term system scalability and stability of Sanctuary’s technical products, requiring a high degree of independence and proficiency in applying AI models in products. The ideal candidate embodies an entrepreneurial spirit demonstrating proactivity, idea generation, and comfort with fast learning, ambiguity, and regular pivots.
Responsibilities
* Customer facing projects, including Forward Deployed work. Discovery, scoping and delivery of these projects, working with customers to understand their technical problems deeply and build software solutions to resolve.
* Internal productisation of customer projects. Taking capabilities created for customer work and building these out into products to then be sold on to future customers.
* Work on internal systems to ensure long term scalability and stability for customers.
* Support ongoing customer facing and internal product and system maintenance.
Requirements
Required, technical:
* 2 years working with LLMs, RAG, and/or voice AI.
* 3 years experience in Typescript
* 3 years experience in React
* Experience using AI models in products
Beneficial, technical:

* Retrieval Augmented Generation systems
* Experience with GCP and Vercel platforms

* Ability to travel, at short notice, sometimes for extended periods (e.g. 4 weeks)

* Willingness to learn fast and off your own back
