The role
As a Cost Specialist, you’ll be part of a team that’s shaping the future of nuclear energy through innovation and collaboration.
Day-to-day, you’ll be at the heart of our Nuclear Services workstream, supporting a team of Cost Engineers and reporting into the Senior Cost Engineer. You’ll play a vital role in delivering accurate financial reporting and project controls, helping us meet customer expectations and drive continuous improvement.
1. Supporting cost and project controls activities across the Spares and Kitting business
2. Producing and presenting financial reports and statistical data to inform decision-making
3. Managing delivery performance against customer KPIs
4. Contributing to the development and improvement of our in-house finance forecasting system
5. Collaborating with commercial teams to ensure contract compliance and financial accuracy
This is a permanent role, working 37 hours per week, based at Leicester, Leicestershire. Hybrid working patterns are available, with 2–3 days in the office.
Essential experience of the Cost Specialist:
6. Working hands-on with profit and loss accounts, cash flow and account balancing
7. Managing commercial elements of contracts, including payment terms and conditions
8. Delivering financial insights and reporting in a project-based environment
Qualifications for the Cost Specialist:
9. Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Finance, Business, Engineering) – preferred
