What youll be doing
As a Fitter, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving our fleet of specialist rail vehicles.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Performing maintenance on MPVs, RRVs, Stramm units, and modules in line with technical publications.
* Managing and maintaining accurate documentation and records.
* Diagnosing and repairing faults across mechanical and/or electrical systems.
* Producing clear verbal and written reports on faults, repairs, maintenance activities, and any incidents.
* Collaborating with your team to develop initiatives that enhance quality, productivity, reliability, and availability of our fleet.
* Driving road vehicles as required to support operations.
Who were looking for
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who brings:
* A recognised engineering apprenticeship.
* Strong resource management and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to meet and maintain the required medical standards for the role.
* Sound knowledge of health & safety legislation, risk management, and COSHH awareness.
* Experience with PPPCs as required.
* Familiarity with stores processes and inventory management.
