Job Description
Join us as a Learning Delivery Specialist where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning, training, and development landscape within the Crop Nutrients business. Reporting to the Head of Learning Delivery and collaborating closely with the Head of HR (Crop Nutrients) and Learning Performance Consulting Manager you will lead the development and execution of comprehensive learning strategies for Crop Nutrient’s to support both ongoing operations and the transition to steady state.
The Role is based at Crop Nutrients Head office in Scarborough, Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Strategic Planning and Management: Collaborate with the Learning Performance Consulting Manager (Crop Nutrients) to develop robust annual learning and skills plans for different business sections. Manage and implement these plans, ensuring they align with Crop Nutrient's strategic objectives for current and future state of the operation. Lead and align network of learning specialists across partner organisations.
* Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with learning delivery vendors and connect managers with appropriate internally available learning solutions, adhering to Group Learning's approved offerings. Oversee leader-led learning initiatives and program delivery as needed. Participate in mining industry skills bodies and local regulatory forums for skills development as required.
* Compliance and Standards Implementation: Implement and uphold standards to meet regulatory requirements for competence assurance and skills development. Conduct quality assurance checks and assessments to ensure compliance across Crop Nutrients, including across vendor partners.
* Training Needs Assessment and Program Development: Assess training needs across all roles, contractors and vendor partners, focusing on development, mandatory, and compliance training. Develop training programs using suitable materials, methodologies, and technologies.
* Delivery and Evaluation: Determine effective training delivery methods and the required team composition, considering in-house and third-party resources. Develop and execute site-wide training and competence matrices, and schedule training appropriately. Implement and support a Learning Management System (LMS) to streamline training processes.
* Monitoring and Continuous Improvement: Monitor key training and performance metrics, providing reports on progress and outcomes. Establish feedback and evaluation mechanisms to continuously improve training effectiveness and relevance.
* Learning Technologies & Ecosystem: Develop roadmap for supporting learning technologies in line with project development and transition to operations reflecting evolving workforce mix.
Qualifications
Knowledge and experience required:
* Comprehensive understanding of the mining value chain, enabling effective design and implementation of tailored learning programs for Crop Nutrients across different business sections.
* Proven track record in designing and delivering technical learning initiatives with a focus on safety protocols, ensuring employee well-being and regulatory compliance.
* Effective stakeholder engagement at all organisational levels, fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners to align learning programs with industry standards.
* Strong project management skills, adept at overseeing multiple projects, setting clear goals, and adapting to changing priorities.
* Proficiency in learning management systems and technology-driven learning solutions, enhancing accessibility and effectiveness of training programs.
* Excellent communication skills, facilitating clear articulation of complex concepts and delivering engaging training sessions.
* A strong analytical mindset able to readily identify learning needs, evaluate training effectiveness, and implement data-driven improvements for enhanced performance.

* Work in a multinational, culturally diverse organisation environment – often liaising virtually with colleagues.
* Communicate complex information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in written/presentation form
