A well‑established food manufacturing organisation in the Armagh area is experiencing continued growth following the acquisition of a new business and ismitted to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and operational excellence. As part of thismitment, they are seeking a dedicated Hygiene Supervisor to join their team and support the ongoing development of their hygiene processes and standards.
Your new role
As Hygiene Supervisor, you will oversee all hygiene activities on site, ensuring the facility meets internal standards as well as external regulatory and customer requirements. You will lead a team of up to 6, develop, and motivate a hygiene team to ensure all cleaning activities are carried out safely, effectively and on time. Plan and manage hygiene schedules, deep cleans and routine cleaning tasks. Work closely with Production and Quality teams to ensurepliance with food safety, health & safety, and audit standards. Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit readiness. Conduct hygiene inspections and drive continuous improvement across all hygiene operations. Ensure all chemicals, equipment and PPE are used correctly and safely. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will play a key part in maintaining the site’s cleanliness, product integrity and operational performance.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in a hygiene or cleaning leadership position within the food manufacturing industry, along with a strong understanding of food safety, HACCP and industry hygiene standards. You will bring excellentmunication and people management skills, with the ability to train, motivate and develop your team while maintaining a proactive and detail-focused approach. Strong organisational and planning abilities are essential, as is the capability to manage workloads, maintain accurate records and uphold highpliance standards. Experience in high-care environments would be beneficial, though not essential.
