As Financial Accountant, you will enjoy the technical nature of group reporting and working with colleagues at a Group level. Financial Accountant duties Production of monthly financial accounts, including group consolidation Lead the preparation of statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and compliance reporting Manage IFRS 16 lease accounting, inventory valuation, intercompany reconciliations and the preparation of corporation and deferred tax estimates Identifying and implementing control based improvements to systems and processes Maintaining the internal control framework in conjunction with Group Internal Audit Key point of contact for external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process Produce commentaries to explain the key drivers of financial performance Coordinate the submission of ESG-related data and reports to Group Approval of key financial transactions, including bank payments, supplier master data changes and purchase orders Work collaboratively with the wider team on change initiatives. Key skills, knowledge and attributes Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA) Strong technical accounting knowledge, IFRS 16 highly desirable Excellent Excel skills and a high level of IT literacy Previous audit and statutory reporting experience is highly desirable Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail Self-starter who is capable of working independently, as well as part of a team Inquisitive attitude with a desire to drive continuous improvement to systems and processes Excellent communication skills
