As the world’s No.2 Scotch whisky producer with a 1,600-strong team across 26 sites, we are committed to upholding the heritage and pursuing the progress of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future, as well as opening it up to new audiences across the globe.About the roleWe now have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Health Specialist to be responsible for the delivery of an effective Occupational Health Service across our organisation that meets and exceeds the expectations of its customers by adopting the latest initiatives in business health practice and developing preventative policy to add value and significantly influence the performance of the business.What you will doOccupational Health ServiceSupport the day-to-day management and service delivery across agreed sites and develop influential relationships across the company to identify, promote and deliver OH data and services which enable improved health performance and organisational effectiveness.Take the lead in appropriate initiatives and company health promotion activities and be responsible for the maintenance of appropriate employee medical files, ensuring confidentiality.Employee SupportProvide general OH support and advice in line with business strategy to management, union representatives and employees, as well as being involved in the sickness absence management process and advising on long term absence issues, return to work plans and Equality Act advice.Conduct both pre-employment and in employment screening as appropriate and provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on ways of promoting a healthy working environment.TrainingConduct and educate key personnel on workplace health risk assessments.Continuous ImprovementIntegrate health considerations into business processes to help enhance productivity and individual capability and developing and implementing OH policies, standards and procedures to nationally accepted standards which reflect best practice and communicate these to appropriate personnel.Your skills and backgroundRegistered General Nurse, with a degree in Occupational Health Nursing/NMC specialist practitioner status.Post registration experience, including experience in an Occupational Health environment.Knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation and can demonstrate a sound knowledge of clinical health issues.Knowledge of broader business issues and able to think strategically as to how OH can add value to the Company.Strong project management skills, IT literate and can demonstrate a pragmatic, insightful approach to problem solving.Current, Full UK driving licence.Why join us?Collective SpiritYou will be part of a connected, international community shaped by iconic brands, a performance mindset, and a proud legacy, where collaboration, fun and ambition coexist.Craft your pathWe empower you to own your career, innovate boldly and grow alongside our business, surrounded by leaders who value curiosity, energy, and impact.Cultivate the futureYou’ll help shape a business with a soul — one that cherishes the land, respects communities, and brings good times from a good place, responsibly and sustainably.People are at the heart of everything we do at Pernod Ricard and are the foundation of our collective spirit as ‘Créateurs de Convivialité’.
