Make a Real Difference – Join Our Caring Team!

Are you a compassionate and dependable brain injury support worker looking to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life?

This is a rewarding opportunity for a brain injury support worker to provide one-on-one care at home and in the community, helping the client maintain independence, safety, and quality of life. Our active client will need support to maintain boundaries and enjoy social interactions safely in the community.

The client has a cat and two snakes and is a real animal lover. Support with animal care is needed. Snake handling is not essential!

You will join an established and experienced team of support workers and therapists who will train you on how to best support our client.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support with daily routines and assistance with showering.
* Attend a local day centre (board games, cooking, social interaction).
* Assist with food shopping and planning.
* Support client to prepare and cook meals to eat together.
* Support client to attend rehab therapies including triking and hydrotherapy (no pool entry required).
* Support visits to see family and friends, attend the gym, and go to local cafes and restaurants.
* Attend personal and group supervision sessions.

The client follows a routine, preferring to be in bed by 6:30 pm and usually asleep by 9:00 pm. Overnight needs are minimal, mainly fall prevention and safety.

About You:

* Experience as a brain injury support worker, confident working with complex needs and occasional challenging behaviors.
* Calm, kind, attentive, and able to set clear boundaries consistently.
* Comfortable providing care over a full 24-hour period, including overnight supervision.

If you are a skilled brain injury support worker who values person-centered care and wants to help someone live as independently as possible, we’d love to hear from you.
