About the role:
JCB is a world‑class, family‑owned business where the health and wellbeing of our people truly matters. Based at JCB World Headquarters, the onsite Dental Service plays an important role in supporting employee wellbeing by providing high‑quality dental care in a professional, friendly environment.
We’re looking for a Dental Nurse to join the team and support the smooth day‑to‑day running of the dental clinic. You’ll work closely with the Dentist and wider occupational health team to ensure patients receive excellent care, while maintaining the highest standards of clinical compliance, hygiene, and patient experience.
What does this role involve day to day?
1. Providing chairside assistance to the Dentist during a range of dental procedures
2. Preparing the surgery and ensuring all equipment, instruments, and materials are ready for use
3. Maintaining high standards of infection control, decontamination, and clinical hygiene in line with regulations
4. Supporting patient care by offering reassurance, clear communication, and a professional, calm approach
5. Managing and maintaining dental instruments, equipment, and stock levels
6. Updating and maintaining accurate patient records in line with data protection requirements
7. Supporting appointment scheduling and clinic administration as required
8. Ensuring the dental clinic remains compliant with health & safety, clinical governance, and regulatory standards
This role will be suited to you if …
9. You are a qualified Dental Nurse with current GDC registration
10. You have previous experience working in a dental practice or clinical setting
11. You have a strong understanding of infection control, decontamination, and clinical compliance
12. You’re confident supporting a dentist chairside and working with a variety of patients
13. You have good organisational skills and can manage multiple tasks effectively
14. You communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically with patients
15. You’re reliable, discreet, and comfortable handling confidential information
16. You enjoy working as part of a small, supportive healthcare team and contributing to positive patient experiences
