Who You Are You are a compassionate and empathetic social worker with a professional qualification in social work. You are registered with the Health & Care Professions Council and have a deep understanding of social work theories, values, and legislation related to children. You have at least three years of experience in Children's Social Work, especially within the Child Assessment Team. You approach families with creativity and aim to make positive changes in their lives. You can work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues, partners, and families. What the Job Involves The position involves implementing positive change in complex cases involving children, families, and carers. You will use systemic social work methods to promote independence and manage risks of abuse and neglect. Your responsibilities include undertaking in-depth assessments, care planning, and leading complex statutory cases such as child protection and care proceedings. You will maintain high-level communication and collaboration with partner agencies, manage complex caseloads, and oversee professional judgments. Additionally, you will participate in court proceedings and contribute to policy development and practice improvement.
