Location:Bristol (Hybrid - 2 days on-site, flexible hours)

Day Rate: Competitive (Inside IR35) £400 upwards depending on experience/ pay-type

We're working with a well-established financial services business in Bristol seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to support the senior leadership team through a busy period of quarterly reporting, year-end, and budgeting. This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a high-performing team of three Management Accountants (2 qualified, 1 part-qualified).
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee financial reporting, controls, and validation of financial data
Lead and support the team through quarter-end and year-end close
Drive accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and budgeting
Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of key outputs
Provide oversight on tax-related matters (a small but important part of the role)
What We're Looking For
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a financial services environment (insurance experience is desirable)
Strong technical reporting and controls background
Diligent, detail-oriented, and confident in validating financial data
