An ambitious academy in Northamptonshire is looking to appoint a Geography Teacher to join its department from September. This full-time role is suited to a teacher who is passionate about the world around us and keen to bring real-world issues into the classroom.
About the Role You will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, with scope to develop KS5 provision as the department grows. Lessons combine physical and human geography, fieldwork skills, and current global issues to engage students of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4
* Prepare students for GCSE Geography examinations
* Plan and lead fieldwork activities in line with exam board requirements
* Develop students' map, data, and graphical interpretation skills
* Monitor progress and provide regular, constructive feedback
* Support whole-school sustainability or eco initiatives where relevant

Candidate Requirements
Essential
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching Geography at secondary level
* Confidence delivering fieldwork and practical enquiry-based lessons
* Strong classroom management skills
Desirable
* Experience teaching A-Level Geography
* Experience using GIS or data-handling software
* Interest in coordinating fieldwork trips
