Pay support officer required for admin and clerical duties.
Input data directly into ESR and support payroll officers to ensure completion of payroll for the Trust.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an ambitious person to join the Payroll team; you will receive training and support to provide admin and clerical support to the Payroll Team. The post holder will input payroll and expense data, deal with enquiries from staff and managers, and input payroll data directly into ESR.
This is a mixed role with lots of different processes and you will be supported with all the training. This is a flexible role where you can mix working from home and in the office.
Job responsibilities
1. Enter information for temporary or permanent changes to Payroll.
2. Check and pay expense claims in accordance with NHS terms and conditions and statutory regulations.
3. Help produce the payroll and provide cover for the payroll team during periods of absence, including planning and organising tasks to ensure all deadlines are met.
4. Respond to and answer queries from staff and managers where barriers to understanding exist, using tact where required.
5. Use Excel spreadsheets and database skills to download, format and analyse financial data; review and check accuracy before and after payroll production.
6. Be responsible for the completion of routine enquiries from third parties and other government bodies.
7. Report any discrepancies, unusual features or queries to the appropriate person ensuring fraud protection.
8. Assist with complex and sensitive financial queries (e.g., AFC changes, personal pay and conditions) and advise where necessary on recommended solutions.
