Your Opportunity

We are looking for a Purchase Ledger Officer to join our Finance team. This is a great opportunity to join one of our regional finance teams and, ultimately, to make a difference to the outcomes of the children and young people attending the schools within our Multi Academy Trust.

The successful candidate will work as part of the finance team, led by the Finance Partner, to deliver an expert service to our schools by:

1. ensuring accurate and timely processing and BACS payment of purchase invoices
2. resolving payment queries with suppliers
3. ensuring compliance with goods ordering and receipting processes
4. liaising with school-based colleagues as required

The successful candidate will work 36 hours a week, over 42 weeks a year (term time plus 3 weeks in school holidays), and have a base at The Beacon School, Banstead. As a flexible employer, we are also able to offer remote hybrid working for part of the hours.

5. Experience working within a Finance Department
6. Experience of working with a financial accounting system
7. Accuracy and attention to detail

The Details

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: GLF Associate 2 - £23,651 FTE

Pro rata Salary: £21,911.96

Hours: 36 hours a week, 42 weeks of the year

Location: The Beacon School, Banstead

Start date: ASAP

Closing Date: 2nd February 2026
