Overview
Vacancies have arisen for a Registered Nurse – (part one of professional register) to work within the District Nursing teams based within Clackmannanshire and Stirling H&SCP. This post also includes treatment room work responsibilities. This is a community nursing post which will include flexibility in shift patterns including weekends.
Responsibilities
* Care delivery in community settings including wound management, catheter care, venepuncture, and management of long-term conditions.
* Managing patients requiring Hickman/PICC lines; palliative and end of life care.
* Supporting anticipatory care planning and enabling prevention, anticipation and supported self-management so people live healthier lives at home.
* Communicate effectively within the team and with patients and carers; ability to work autonomously in patients’ homes when lone working is necessary.
* Demonstrate good IT skills (essential).
* Be willing and able to travel throughout the service delivery area.
* Be a member of the PVG Scheme.
Qualifications / Experience
* Desirable experience of nursing in a community setting.
* Desirable range of clinical skills including wound management, catheter care, venepuncture, and experience with long-term conditions and palliative/end of life care; understanding of anticipatory care planning.
Other requirements
Competent IT skills are essential. Travel across the service area is essential. The post requires PVG membership.
