The role
We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded Risk Manager to lead and embed an enterprise risk management framework across the business. This is a high-impact, organisation-wide role focused on strengthening how risk is identified, managed and reported to support confident decision-making.
You’ll play a key role in building frameworks from the ground up, influencing senior stakeholders, and balancing strong governance with practical, business-focused solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, implement and enhance the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework
- Lead Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) processes and maintain the risk register
- Develop risk reporting, key risk indicators (KRIs) and management information
- Provide independent oversight and challenge across risk areas
- Support risk, governance and control on business initiatives and decisions
- Strengthen operational resilience, incident management and third-party risk
- Monitor regulatory developments and emerging risks
- Promote a positive and pragmatic risk culture
- Support training and development across the business
About you:
- Strong experience in enterprise or operational risk / internal controls
- Proven track record in developing risk frameworks and RCSA processes
- Solid knowledge of risk methodologies and frameworks
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics
- Confident influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive, analytical and solutions-focused
Desirable:
- Experience in regulated or professional services environments
- Knowledge of frameworks such as ISO 31000
- Exposure to data protection, cyber or third-party risk
- Experience with GRC systems
Qualifications:
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. IRM, ICA, CMIIA) or working towards
