Fife Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is excited to be offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual to take on the role of CAMHS Senior Nurse: Transitions Service/ Young People’s Team. This post seeks to enhance the current provision for all children and young people, who as a result of their mental health, require specialist assessment and treatment. You will join an established service whose aim is to provide effective and timely community assessments and therapeutic interventions. You will be required to manage an individual caseload and be able to assess and deliver a range of therapeutic interventions on a one to one and group basis to young people with a wide range of mental health difficulties. The post holder will also be able to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously in a wide variety of hospital and community settings and demonstrate knowledge and experience of Adult Mental Health Services. The post holder should be able to demonstrate experience of working with individuals who have experienced trauma and/or care system. Fife CAMHS is committed to the development of its staff group and actively encourages participation in the NES CAMHS development programme as well as bespoke training based on individual and service needs. Applications are invited from individuals who are passionate about children’s mental health and are qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Evidence of continuous professional development is welcomed along with the ability to demonstrate skills and competencies normally associated with a significant length of post registration experience working therapeutically with adolescents who have severe and complex mental health problems.
