This is an exciting opportunity to join the Vascular Surgery Department as a Receptionist.
We are looking for a pro-active and motivated individual who would enjoy working in a team. This position is suitable for people looking to join the NHS and who want a career in administration.
Knowledge of NHS Administration is desirable but not essential. Applicants should be extremely well organised with excellent time management skills. They should be able to use their own judgement to resolve issues and have a tactful sensitive approach to dealing with occasionally difficult situations.
Teamwork is essential to the role and the successful candidate will be expected to communicate effectively at all levels.
The role is full time, Monday to Friday, and will cover hours between am to pm and will be based at the Oxford University Hospitals Trust, John Radcliffe Hospital.

Main duties of the job
1. Greet patients at reception, check their personal details are correct and if necessary, amend in patient systems accordingly, ensuring patient confidentiality and accuracy.
2. Check patients in and inform clinically team of their arrival.
3. Maintain tidy, safe working environment, reporting any hazards or faults timely and appropriately.
4. Present a professional, polite and courteous attitude at all times and be appropriately dressed when on duty.
5. Any administrative tasks requested by the clinical or wider admin team .
