We are working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Cheetham Hill who are looking to appoint a caring and experienced SEN Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in KS1/KS2 with Autism.
This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, nurturing, and confident supporting children with communication and sensory needs.
About the Role
* Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism
* Assisting with communication, routines and personalised learning activities
* Working alongside the SENCo and class teacher to follow an individual support plan
* Helping create a calm, structured and predictable environment
What We’re Looking For
* Experience supporting children with Autism or additional learning needs
* Classroom experience within a school setting is essential
* Knowledge of Autism‑friendly strategies (visual timetables, sensory regulation, communication tools)
* A calm, understanding and supportive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
