Overview
Andertons Music Co. is seeking a full-time Mailorder Guitar Sales Consultant to work in our Guildford Sales Office as a member of our Sales and Service team, focused on pre- and post-sale advice to online/remote customers. The role requires excellent product and brand knowledge of acoustic, electric, bass guitars, and amps, and a high standard of customer service. Strong time management and organisational skills are essential.
Responsibilities
* Provide pre- and post-sale advice to online/remote customers.
* Demonstrate knowledge of guitar history/heritage of main brands; understand construction and features of guitars.
* Explain differences between brands and give independent advice relevant to customer requirements.
* Identify features and benefits relevant to the customer over the phone and via email.
Qualifications
* Ability to absorb new information readily and pass on to others.
* Customer service experience, ideally in retail or music equipment sector.
* Strong communication skills to interact with customers and staff at all levels.
* Resilience to challenges while remaining calm.
* Confidence and organisational skills to manage a busy sales environment.
* Previous experience in retail sales or similar environments preferred.
* Attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately.
* Computer literacy (MS Outlook and Excel).
Extra Information
* Contract Type: Full Time
* Working Hours: 9am - 6pm Monday to Saturday, 10.45am - 5pm; Sunday with a 5-day week including a day off in week and working Sat or Sun
* Salary: Competitive (subject to experience)
