Calibration Engineer

We seek a confident mechanical or electrical engineer for an interesting and a challenging role undertaking, test repair and calibration of a wide range of measuring equipment and instrumentation. This is a workshop-based position, has free parking and is easily commutable by train from both Leeds and York.
As the Test and Calibration Engineer, you will:
* Undertake testing and calibration of measuring equipment for industries such as railway, laboratories, hospitals and factories
* Calibration & repair of measuring instruments including pressure gauges, dimensional measuring equipment, temperature and torque.
* Work to component level to test, repair and replace faulty components
* Work to customer delivery targets
* Testing, repair and replacement of electrical wiring
* Mechanical strip down and rebuild as required.
* Meeting customers deadlines.
As the Test and Calibration Engineer, you will:
* Suitable recognised qualifications and or experience
* An understanding of mechanical and or electrical engineering principles
* Communication, organisational and teamwork skills
* Initiative, focus and commitment
* Be able to work in a targeted environment
* Have confident fault-finding and repair skills
* Any experience of instrument calibration would be of great interest
