Overview
We are seeking a Housekeeping assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cleanliness and hospitality, ensuring that our residents experience a welcoming and pristine environment. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of our care home.
Duties
* Perform thorough cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, ensuring all spaces are tidy and well-presented.
* Change bed linens as needed.
* Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to maintain a fresh appearance.
* Vacuum carpets and clean floors using appropriate equipment and methods.
* Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
* Assist in laundry duties as required, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
* Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when reordering is necessary.
* Uphold health and safety standards in all cleaning activities.
Qualifications
* Previous housekeeping experience is useful but not completely necessary as training will be provided for the right candidate.
* Familiarity with janitorial practices and cleaning techniques is an advantage.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.
* Good communication skills to interact effectively with residents, visitors and other staff.
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
