Care Assistant role at HC-One in Sunderland, England. You’ll value kindness above all and support residents in Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Our colleagues understand that residents are people with their own stories to tell.
Responsibilities
* Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, take responsibility for the physical and emotional well‑being and social needs of residents.
* Assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and meals.
* Deliver care that comes from the heart, ensuring residents retain dignity and individuality while participating in general activities within the care home.
* Support residents with limited mobility to use aids and adapt to their needs.
* Provide emotional support to confused or distressed residents and to those at the end of life, keeping their well‑being at the forefront.
* Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility: recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect; attend safeguarding training and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
* Work with the team to provide high‑quality care, whether for long‑ or short‑term, convalescence, respite or palliative care.
