Sales Advisor – St Andrews
Location: St Andrews, KY16
Salary: Competitive DOE (OTE £50,000)
Working Pattern: Thursday – Monday (1 in 8 weekends off)
About the Role:
A leading 5-star housebuilder is seeking a motivated Sales Advisor to join their established development in St Andrews. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful site offering a mix of newly launched apartments and family homes.
You’ll be the face of the development — helping customers find their dream home while delivering an exceptional buying experience from enquiry through to completion.
What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role, you will:
* Build rapport with customers through excellent listening, questioning, and empathy
* Understand customer needs and provide tailored product demonstrations
* Follow up leads effectively to encourage site visits
* Maintain strong local knowledge of amenities, schools, transport and competitor activity
* Achieve sales targets in line with business requirements
* Utilise company sales methodology, schemes and incentives to close sales
* Manage the customer journey from first contact through to completion
* Ensure accurate documentation and compliance throughout the process
* Represent the development professionally at all times
Experience & Skills Required:
To be successful, you’ll need:
* Experience in a sales or customer-facing role (housebuilding, estate agency, retail, hospitality, banking etc.)
* A commercial mindset with strong awareness of market conditions and competitor offerings
* Ability to handle pressure while remaining calm and customer-focused
* Strong communication and persuasive negotiation skills
* A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently
* Confidence in IT systems and CRM platforms
* Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays
* A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
Industry experience is preferred, but candidates with strong transferable sales skills will also be considered.
Working Hours
* Thursday – Monday: 10:00am – 5:30pm
* 1 in 8 weekends off
Salary, Commission & Benefits:
* Basic Salary: Competitive DOE
* OTE: Approx £50,000
* Commission: Paid on missives & completions
* Extras Commission: 3%
* Mileage: 45p per mile (over 35 miles)
