Senior Administrative Officer (Staffing/Statistics)
21 hours per week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9am – 5pm
Temporary up to 29 September
£30, - £32, pro rata / £16.71 - £17.87 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Education, Communities and Housing to appoint a Senior Administration Officer. The successful candidate will assist the management team in providing a full range of professional support, ensuring that the business aspects of Education and Leisure are delivered effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner.
The right candidate will have significant experience in administrative practices, and candidates should be familiar with all Microsoft Office packages We require enthusiastic individuals that continually seek ways to improve all aspects of our service and actively support colleagues to implement positive changes to working practices.
You will have excellent organisational and time management skills and have the ability to communicate to customers at all levels, both internally and externally. You will work to strict deadlines, use your own initiative and be able to work unsupervised. You should be able to demonstrate experience of working accurately with figures producing information and reports on time.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of an HNC or other SCQF level 6/7 qualification in Business Administration or relevant subject, or have a minimum of 3 years experience of working in a relevant role is required.
This post requires participation in a standby duty rota for which additional allowances will be paid.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
