Apprentice AI Digital Champion (Digital Support Technician Level 3)

Fixed Term, Full Time

Salary: £15,435 in the first year, increasing to £24,522 in the second year.

Location: Chelmsford. Working Style: Fixed-base worker.

Closing Date: 29th April 2026.


About The Role

Working within the Digital Change and Adoption team, you will support colleagues to confidently and effectively use a variety of digital tools, including the Microsoft 365 suite. You will identify opportunities to simplify processes, share best practice, and connect technologies to improve our everyday working environment.


Responsibilities

* Work collaboratively with different areas across EDS and ECC.
* Work within your team to meet the objectives of the role and deliver work within agreed timescales to demonstrate learning and acumen for Digital.
* Utilise experience and knowledge gained to help improve EDS to ensure the delivery of digital services that are designed and delivered with a clear focus on user needs.
* Ensure delivery of requirements agreed in the personal development plan and apprenticeship study programme, including any external training, assessment or examinations needed for success.
* Define specific individual and shared targets and objectives annually within the performance management framework.


Essential Requirements

* Commitment to continual professional development to keep pace with technical and business change and acceptance of working to meet agreed competencies.
* Computer literate with a good understanding and capability in standard MS Office applications.
* Enthusiastic and able to demonstrate a determination to succeed in EDS.
* Good written, verbal and presentational skills.
* Good customer service skills.
* Experience of working within a team.
