Student Wellbeing Advisor (Ref. No. A985)
Full Time/Fixed Term/Maternity Cover/Aberdeen City Campus (cover may also be required at other campuses)
Salary: £34,816.03 – 37,476.26 per annum

Role Overview
The successful candidate will support the implementation of the Student Wellbeing Framework to promote student health and wellbeing at NESCol. Responsibilities include facilitating mental health support through events, workshops, appointments, and initiatives; engaging with vulnerable groups; and promoting social activities to foster a sense of belonging.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the development and delivery of student wellbeing initiatives.
2. Organize and facilitate college events and workshops focused on mental health.
3. Provide support and advice to students experiencing emotional difficulties.
4. Engage with vulnerable student groups to reduce isolation.
5. Collaborate with staff and external agencies as needed.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
* HNC/SVQ Level III qualification (SCQF Level 7) or equivalent.
* Experience supporting students or working with mental health issues.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Understanding of emotional difficulties such as anxiety and depression.
* Digital proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Desirable:
* ASIST or equivalent suicide intervention training.
* Relevant mental health or counselling qualifications.
* Experience creating e-learning materials.
* Knowledge of the FE sector.
